Bellway Homes is offering visitors to its newest development in Merthyr Tydfil the chance to meet Jamie Arthur – Commonwealth Games boxing champion on 9th April.
Cwm Faenor has 73 new homes and to honour the boxer one of the bedrooms in the show home has been given a boxing theme ready for the development to be officially launched by the boxer.
Cwm Faenor has two show homes for visitors to look round while youngsters get boxing tips from Arthur and have a go on a punch bag, which will then be signed and auctioned for charity.
“Coming to meet some of the local community at Cwm Faenor will be a great day. As a local boxer, it is great to have the opportunity to meet the people who are behind you when you fight and also to be able to share your experience with them. I’m looking forward to putting on my gloves with the visitors and showing them how it’s done.” Comments Jamie Arthur.
Sales manager for Bellway Homes Wales, Denise Swift, said: “Cwm Faenor is a fantastic development of two, three and four-bedroom properties as well as coach houses and we wanted to do something special to officially launch the development in Merthyr Tydfil. Jamie Arthur is an inspirational young boxer and we are delighted that he will join us for the launch and to spend the afternoon interacting with visitors. It promises to be a great day and I’m sure that the visitors young and old will really enjoy meeting Jamie, picking up a few hints and tips on boxing and having a bit of a practice with him on the punch bag. Our sales advisor Vera is particularly excited as her family has a boxing history. Her grandfather Billy Beynon, a colliery worker from Taibach, was the Bantamweight Champion of GB in 1913.
“Following the launch, the two show homes will be officially open for visitors to give a taste of what is on offer with a new house at Cwm Faenor. The ‘Brockweir’ and ‘Duffryn’ show homes are both semi-detached properties boasting three bedrooms, all thoughtfully designed to fully maximise the internal space on offer.”
Prices at Cwm Faenor start from just £144,995.
