There is a vast array of shops available in Llanelli with the nearest to The Link being Trostre Retail Park which is only one mile away. The largest shopping centre is St.Elli Shopping Centre in the town centre which provides shops for all the family, the shopping centre also provides good parking. In the town centre Llanelli has an indoor and outdoor market; the indoor market is open six days a week and the outdoor two days. The town also has many supermarkets throughout Llanelli.

Llanelli hosts a wide range of sport teams, the towns rugby union teams are the Scarlets and Llanelli RFC, the town also has a strong junior rugby team. There is a football team Llanelli A.F.C and the town has a bowls team. Llanelli has three golf courses; these include Machynys Peninsula Golf & Country Club, Machynys Peninsula Golf & Country Club. Llanelli also hosts a wide range of motorsports as The Pembrey Circuits. For non-sport lovers there is an arts theatre, cinema and ten pin bowling.

The transport links are fantastic: the town is linked to the M4 via the A4138 which gives access to South Wales and further afield England. The town has a regular bus service around the town and National Express coaches between Swansea and Carmarthen. Llanelli has its own train station which has regular routes to Cardiff; the station also has twice daily services to London Paddington. Llanelli also links to the four local train stations Kidwelly, Burry Port, Llangennect and Bynea. Another link in Llanelli is cycling as the town is connected to the National Cycle Network.
