Dining

Trip Advisor lists no less than 364 places to eat in and around Warrington, with several Great Sankey eateries recommended. Try the local pub grub of Chapelford Farm, Trigger Pond or the Butchers Arms, or head into town for Bombay 8, Mr Lau’s Dim Sum Bar, Las Ramblas Wine and Tapas or the popular Grill on the Square.

Education

Shopping

Great Sankey has a small selection of shops available, with much more to be found in nearby Warrington, where the Golden Square Shopping Centre and Cockhedge Shopping Park are the main attractions.

With Liverpool and Manchester just half an hour away by train, you can enjoy city centre shopping at your leisure, including places like Liverpool One and Manchester’s Arndale Centre. Alternatively, you can jump in the car and be at the famous Trafford Centre or enjoying the designer bargains of Cheshire Oaks at Ellesmere Port in even less time.

Transport

Located just two miles west of Warrington, under two miles from the M62 at junction 8 and even closer to the main A57 Liverpool Road, getting around certainly won’t be a problem. Liverpool is around 17miles, Manchester around 20miles and Widnes is just 6miles.

Trains from nearby Sankey for Penketh Station reach both Manchester and Liverpool in just over half an hour, or Warrington Central in just 5minutes. Trains from Warrington connect direct to London in under two hours. If you’re heading farther afield, Liverpool John Lennon Airport is just 15miles away, with Manchester Airport just 23miles.
