Buying a new home in Truro

Truro was the main centre of trade from the port and then became a stannary town for the tin mining industry. Following this the cathedral in the city centre was completed in 1910. In the 14th century Truro was an important port, due to the inland location. Truro is located in the centre of Cornwall on the western side, about 9 miles from the south coast of the river Kenwyn and Allen, which together become the Truro River. The city connects to the A38 which goes to Plymouth, Exeter and the M5 motorway. The city is surrounded by bus services, with routes in and out of the city throughout the day. Truro railway station runs on the Cornish main line, with the direct connection to London Paddington, as well as the Midlands, North and Scotland.
