Durham otherwise known as County Durham is a ceremonial county in the North East of England, the county town is Durham which is also a cathedral city whilst the largest settlement in the county is Darlington. County Durham also boasts an excellent schooling system, with numerous options for both primary and secondary education. Also County Durham is home to the renowned University of Durham which is the third oldest university in the country.
