Head into nearby Derby and you’ll find a wide selection of restaurants for every budget, from popular family chains to romantic restaurants for that special celebration.

Education

Shopping

Mickleover has a good selection of shops around the village centre, including both Sainsbury’s and Tesco supermarkets. For a more extensive shop, head to
Kingsway Retail Park, just a short drive from the development where you’ll find big name brands like Next, M&S, TK Maxx and Argos.

Head into Derby and you’ll discover the Intu Derby shopping mall with 200 stores, plus a pedestrianised shopping centre and an historic covered market hall. Derby is also home to the intriguing independent stores of the Cathedral Quarter, which is a wonderful place to browse away an afternoon surrounded by ancient architecture.

Transport

Hackwood Grange enjoys easy access to a number of major routes, including the A50, A52 and A6, with the M1 just a short drive away the other side of the city. Derby is 2miles, Burton on Trent is 10miles, Nottingham is 18miles and Ashbourne, gateway to the Peak District, is just 11miles. There are regular bus services into the city.

Derby Station is a major hub for rail transport, with services to Nottingham in 25mins, Birmingham in 37mins, and London in an hour and a half. The station is just a few minutes away by car and has over 600 park and ride spaces. For family holidays and business trips, East Midlands Airport is around half an hour drive along the M1.
