Buying a new home in Kilmarnock

Lying on the intersection of the A71 Edinburgh-Irvine road, A76 Dumfries road and the A77/M77 Stranraer-Glasgow road marks the importance of Kilmarnock as an early market town. Kilmarnock’s excellent M77 motorway links mean that it’s only just over half an hour into Glasgow.

Western Scottish is Kilmarnock’s main bus service provider, supplying routes to most of the major towns and villages in the west of Scotland such as Priestland, Galston, Ayr, Troon, Hamilton and Glasgow as well as circular routes around the town itself. There are other coach services supplying different routes to these towns and further afield.

Kilmarnock’s train station has services by Scotrail linking the town to Glasgow, Carlisle, Girvan, Stranraer and villages and town en route. Glasgow is around 25 miles away, so International flights out of Glasgow Airport are quick and accessible.
