Moncrieff Meadows is located on the edge of the charming little town of Haddington which is nestled under the Garleton Hills on the banks of the River Tyne. Located between the beautiful Lammermuir Hills and the area's stunning beaches and dramatic coastline, Haddington is also just 17 miles from Edinburgh. The name Haddington is Anglo-Saxon, dating from the 6th or 7th century AD when the area was incorporated into the kingdom of Bernicia – this piece of history is celebrated in the town's John Gray Centre which incorporates a library, museum and local archives.

Haddington is such a popular place to live because it provides a great range of services in beautiful historic town setting. There's a choice of restaurants and bars, a sports centre (with swimming pool), supermarkets, unique independent shops, high street retailers and a regular farmers' market. The town also has highly-regarded state primary and secondary schools as well as private schooling locally at The Compass in Haddington, Loretto in Musselburgh and Belhaven Hill in Dunbar, with Edinburgh offering even more choice and further education options.

Lots to do in the local area

Those of you who enjoy the outdoors will be spoilt when it comes to countryside and coastal walking as there's so much choice locally. The town itself also has a good selection of green open space including Neilson Park with its children's play area, skate park, and tennis courts, all in beautiful well-tended grounds. Scotland's National Museum of Flight is only 3 miles away and is the home of Concorde - a great place to learn about our nation's aviation history. St Mary's Pleasance, the beautiful garden of Haddington House is another of the town's hidden gems.

With its varied selection of beautifully-designed homes in a highly sought-after town, along with its proximity to the countryside, coast and the city of Edinburgh, Moncrieff Meadows is in a truly enviable setting.

With a range of new homes for those looking for more space, Moncrieff Meadows is bound to have what you're looking for.
