Enjoy a peaceful stroll along the scenic River Coln, or visit beautiful Cotswold villages such as Bibury. Fairford and Cirencester have many pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes and for film-lovers there's a multi-screen cinema in Swindon. The Royal International Air Tattoo takes place every year at RAF Fairford and the Cotswold Water Park boasts 140 lakes with water sports, cycling, birdwatching, angling, sailing or simply relaxing with a picnic on its sandy beach.

The A417 runs through Fairford and leads directly to the A419 trunk route to Swindon and junction 15 of the M4 for London, or for Bristol, the South West and Wales. Go north to Cirencester and junction 11a of the M5, or head east to Lechlade-on-Thames where the A361 links to the A40 for Oxford and on to the M40 for London or Birmingham. Local buses run from Fairford to Swindon and Lechlade. Trains run regularly from Swindon, 16 miles, to London Paddington and to Bristol. From Kemble, 15 miles, they go direct to London Paddington, Gloucester and Cheltenham. For air travel Heathrow is 80 miles and Bristol Airport 68 miles.
