More information about Charlotte Lodge...

This retirement development of 31 one and two bedroom senior apartments is under construction. The Welcome Centre is now open!

Situated opposite Eastleigh Park and bandstand, Charlotte Lodge is ideally placed for the town centre shops and amenities, which include The Swan Shopping Centre, an indoor shopping centre with more than 40 retailers and a good range of restaurant and leisure venues including a 9-screen Vue cinema.

Eastleigh is also home to The Point, a contemporary performance space that offers a diverse programme of dance, theatre, comedy, film and music. The venue also boasts a café bar and beautiful Atrium where you can enjoy pre-theatre dining before selected performances. Eastleigh Museum is a small, friendly venue with a coffee shop, offering visitors a glimpse into the past including a 1930s recreation of a terraced house and a railway exhibition.

Two local country parks, the Green flag winning Itchen Valley Park and Lakeside Country Park provide acres of lakes, meadows and woodlands abundant in birds and wildlife to enjoy. There are plenty of opportunities for walking with a 2 mile Meadow Nature Trail, fishing and picnicking in one of the many designated picnic areas within the parks. Lakeside Country Park is also home to the Eastleigh Lakeside Steam Railway.

Eastleigh is ideally placed for exploring the nearby Hampshire towns and countryside including the waterfront city of Southampton with its medieval old town, theatres, museums and extensive shopping facilities, Beaulieu and the world famous National Motor Museum, Winchester Cathedral and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, home to the Royal Navy’s historic ships.

Getting out and about in Eastleigh couldn’t be easier. The town is well served by public transport with a regular train service from Eastleigh station to London Waterloo, Portsmouth, Salisbury and Poole and buses catering for a variety of local journeys, enabling you to travel when you wish. Southampton Airport has regular flights to a number of European destinations perfect for a city break or summer getaway whilst some of the greatest liners and cruise ships depart from the nearby historic port of Southampton.
