Situated in the Old Town high street there are a wide selection of restaurants, cafes in relaxed settings and a couple of local supermarkets within walking distance to Astonia Lodge.

Stevenage provides excellent shopping and leisure facilities which includes bakeries, pharmacies, hairdressers and clothes shops, all within the main centre and close by to Astonia Lodge.

Trains from Stevenage include services from London Kings Cross to Cambridge and fast trains to Edinburgh via Stevenage. Bus and coach services provide links to places such as Welwyn Garden City, Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Letchworth and Hertford.
