Church Mews is located in the picturesque village of Sissinghurst, surrounded by the historic woodland and forests in the Weald of Kent. It is served by the same Parish Council as the nearby market town of Cranbrook, famous as England’s smallest town.

The development is situated just off The Street, which runs through the centre of the village, and is home to a renowned country pub, restaurants, local shops, the village hall and the church. The local primary school and cricket club are within walking distance, and just minutes away is Sissinghurst Castle, with its Grade I listed gardens run by the National Trust.

The gardens were created in the 1930s by poet and writer, Vita Sackville-West, and her husband, Harold Nicolson. The gardens are designed as a series of ‘rooms’, each with a different colour or theme, most notably the infamous White Garden room, which set a fashion for white gardens.

The nearby A229 and A21 provide easy access to Maidstone, Tonbridge and Royal Tunbridge Wells, and the M20 is within easy reach via Ashford. From Ashford International Station the domestic high speed service can get you to London in less than 40 minutes, or the Eurostar international service can take you to Paris in two hours. For travel to France by car, the Eurotunnel shuttle service runs from Folkestone with a crossing time of only 35 minutes.
