The towns of Maidstone and Gillingham are less than 15 miles away for a change of environment and greater variety of shops. Of course, London and all of its flagship stores are easily accessed by road and rail.

Transport

Situated in the South East of England, Sittingbourne is ideally placed for access to the coast, the countryside and to London itself too. By road, Sittingbourne is within easy reach of both the M20 and the M2, connecting the area to the M25 and all the many routes this makes available. Between Sheerness and Maidstone to the west is the A249, which also runs very close to Sittingbourne and creates a link to the South West.

Bus services run regularly, provided by Arriva Southern Counties, but for most people the main transport service for the town is its railway. Trains to Sittingbourne station from London take one hour and five minutes. Nearby Faversham also has the new HS1 service connecting directly to London St Pancras.
