About the Development

Located on the River Ribble, Whalley is an absolutely charming village surrounded by picturesque Lancashire countryside. From Calder’s waterfall to Whalley Nab (a beautiful wooded hill overlooking the town) this is certainly a town steeped in beauty and history. Our Lawson Rise development is situated in this charming town, and offers exquisite 4 and 5 bedroom homes. And our homes are designed to harmonise with the beauty of the village, by creating properties with traditional architecture, yet all of the comforts of modern living within.

Whilst located in the heart of the Lancashire countryside, this large village also has great links to neighbouring cities of Blackburn, Preston and Burnley. In terms of amenities, residents can enjoy a host of independent shops, quality schools and quaint pubs. Ideal for both families and professionals, our Lawson Rise development is the epitome of getting the best of both worlds; country living with fantastic links to bustling metropolises.

Amenities

Lawson Rise benefits from a delightful village location, but as Whalley is a large village and close to the town of Clitheroe, residents will find that they have no shortage of vital amenities. For example, there are a range of shops, leisure facilities and dining establishments to be found in the area. The village is also home to Whalley Family Dental Practice. Also, GP services are readily available and close to the development, thanks to Sabden and Whalley Medical Group.

Dining

Whalley is home to a range of dining options, with more establishments to be found just a short journey away in Clitheroe. Whether you treat dining out as a regular activity, a way to celebrate special occasions, or a treat that needs no excuse, you will find that you are well catered for. Weezos restaurant offers a choice of delicious dishes on its menu. Lovers of Indian or Italian food will find Trishna Indian Restaurant and Amico Mio Restaurant just a stone's throw from one another. If you prefer a simple pub atmosphere, on the other hand, the Dog Inn will be ideal.

Education

At Redrow, we understand how important educational facilities will be to such families and are careful to take this into account when choosing sites for developments. Younger children may attend Whalley C of E Primary School or Barrow Primary school, or Oakhill College for children from 6 weeks old in nursery up to 16 year olds taking their GCSEs. Older children may also move on to St. Augustine's R.C. High School.
After GCSEs and further afield there is Blackburn College. Alternatively, Moorland School offers private schooling from primary age up to sixth form level.

Leisure

When choosing locations for our new developments, we at Redrow like to make sure that every aspect of your life is catered for.

Everybody needs some leisure time in their life, and Lawson Rise provides plenty of leisure opportunities. As well as a wide selection of dining options and pubs, there are a range of opportunities for sport lovers.
These include Whalley Golf Club and a variety of activities at Roefield Leisure Centre. There is also a nearby Vue Cinema, where you can catch the latest releases. If you sometimes prefer to just take a pleasant stroll, the village of Whalley is an ideal backdrop and is surrounded by green fields and woodland.

Shopping

Shopping can be both an essential aspect of life and an enjoyable leisure activity. Residents of Lawson Rise will find that both kinds of shopping are covered within the local area. Everyday shopping is covered by a nearby Tesco Superstore or by Booths in Clitheroe, both providing a range of essentials and everyday luxuries. For retail therapy, you may wish to take in the various interesting independent shops in Whalley and Clitheroe, or visit Clitheroe Market, which has been held regularly since the twelfth century.

Transport

Lawson Rise is located in the large village of Whalley near the charming town of Clitheroe. It benefits from an excellent local transport network.

With major roads such as the A671 and A59 running close to the village, car users will find it easy to get around and to seek out any amenities that are not available within the village. Public transport users will also find strong transport links.
Thanks to Clitheroe Interchange, it is possible to travel by bus to locations around Yorkshire and Lancashire. Nearby Whalley Rail Station, meanwhile, caters to those who prefer travel by rail to locations such as Manchester and Blackburn.
