About the Development

The exquisite four and five bedroom Heritage Collection homes at Ricksby Grange reflect the superior quality of life in the delightful Fylde coast village of Wrea Green. From nationally renowned independent schools to world class championship golf, you simply couldn’t be better placed for the finer things in life.

A traditional community, right down to the cricket on the village green, Wrea Green offers a gentler pace of life. Yet it is well connected to the modern world with excellent road and rail links to Blackpool, Preston and beyond. If you want the very best for your family, for work, rest and play, you’ll find it all, and so much more, at Ricksby Grange.

Amenities

Wrea Green has an iconic village store and post office, plus you’ll find leading supermarkets such as Booths, Tesco and Morrisons all within easy reach for your weekly groceries.

Local GPs can be found at Kirkham Health Centre on Moor Street (Sat Nav PR4 2DL call us), with dentists available in Wrea Green itself, on Ribby Road (Sat Nav PR4 2NB call us)

Dining

Whether it’s a fun family meal at one of Wrea Green’s three friendly pubs, or a special dinner at one of the two restaurants in the village, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to dining options. Try the Orathai Thai cuisine, or The Restaurant for traditional food.

For an even wider choice, head for the sophistication of Lytham, where you’ll discover palm lined streets with a real Mediterranean feel, which is reflected in the local restaurants, such as the classic Italian tastes of Portofino and Novello.

Education

Top class education starts at an early age on the Fylde, with a choice of two high quality independent schools. Kirkham Grammar admits children from 3 to 18, while King Edwards and Queen Mary School admits children from age two, preparing them to uphold their proud record of producing the best GCSE and A-level results in the area.

Closer to home, Wrea Green has its own primary school, with The Willows Catholic Primary in Kirkham offering an alternative. Kirkham is also home to Carr Hill High School and Sixth Form Centre offering excellent state sector education.

Leisure

Whatever you like to do in your spare time, Lytham is the leisure coast with over 16 miles of stunning sandy beaches, stretching all the way up to the thrill rides of Blackpool’s Golden Mile. Closer to home you can take in a taste of history with Wrea Green’s 100 year old cricket club, or join the well equipped local tennis club. Golfers will enjoy Fairhaven or Ashton and Lea golf clubs, or can treat themselves to a Championship round at Royal Lytham and St Annes, regular home to the Open.

For evening entertainment, head for the Island Cinema in Lytham or the many theatres and shows in Blackpool and Preston. Alternatively, you can have a go yourself by joining the popular Wrea Green Players.

Shopping

There is a shopping experience for every taste within a short drive of Ricksby Grange, from the unique boutiques of Lytham, to the designer bargains of Fleetwood Freeport. Nearby Preston has not one but two shopping malls, along with an extensive pedestrianised centre and a famous market, while Blackpool’s Houndshill Shopping Centre features all your favourite High Street names.

Throughout the Fylde coast, you’ll also find a wealth of quirky independent shops to browse away the afternoon. There’s a world of wonders to discover, from antiques to arts and crafts, to help give your new Redrow home that personal touch

Transport

Despite its idyllic rural location, Wrea Green has exceptional commuter links, with a choice of two stations within two miles, linking to Preston in as little as ten minutes, and on to London in just over two hours on the West Coast Mainline. The M55 is just minutes away, connecting you to the extensive North West Motorway network ten miles to the east at Preston. Blackpool lies seven miles to the North, with Lancaster and the Lake District only a few miles further.

Blackpool Airport has a wide range of flights across the UK and Europe for both business travel and that well earned European city-break weekend away.
