The village of Cheddington is the location for our new homes at Orchard Manor. The village is on the edge of the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s in a rural setting but with easy access to the main routes to the area’s key towns.

For a relatively small village, there are a large number of facilities including a train station offering regular services to London Euston, local schools, two pubs and a general store. Joining one of the many sports clubs is a sure way to get to know people and there are community events and activities throughout the year.

The bigger picture is the easy access to Luton for the airport and the M1, to the A41 for Watford, and to the M40 for Oxford, Bicester and Birmingham. Aylesbury and Leighton Buzzard are a short drive away for their town centre facilities and high street shops.

For your weekly shop, there's a Tesco Superstore in the village of Tring, only 5.7 miles away. More shops can be found in the nearby town of Aylesbury, with its Friars Square Shopping Centre boasting over 60 shops including a House of Fraser and a choice of restaurants. Leighton Buzzard has a range of shops on its high street and you'll find even more to choose from in the the historic city of Oxford just 32 miles.

Within Cheddington village there are many clubs and societies including tennis, bowls, badminton, amateur dramatics, a flower club and baby and toddler groups. If you like to be outdoors, Aston Clinton Park has a children's play area, trim trail and skate park (5.7 miles away). The nearby Wendover Woods (7.4 miles) has its own 'Go Ape' activity centre, which will give you a whole new view of the woods from the tree tops! Exploring the Chiltern Hills on foot or by bike will keep you fit too.
Living at Orchard Manor will mean you'll be able to enjoy day trips to the Chilterns and Ivinghoe Beacon, the high points of Buckinghamshire's unspoilt countryside. On the far side of the Chilterns, you dip down to the River Thames at places like Henley on Thames and Marlow.

Cheddington train station (West Midlands Trains) has regular trains to London Euston with services taking 20 minutes. For other local train routes you have the options of Tring train station to the south, Leighton Buzzard train station to the north and Milton Keynes Central train station. Luton Airport is 21 miles to the east, and you can join the M1 there too. You can join the M40 at Great Milton or Bicester - both options are approximately 26 miles away.
