Welcome to Kitchers Close, Hythe
Our new homes are just five minutes* drive from the pretty waterfront village of Hythe which lies between the New Forest National Park and Southampton Water. Hythe and it’s surrounding area, known as the Waterside is a fascinating area to explore and is steeped in history.

Hythe really is a fantastic place to live, and is a great locations to view the beautiful cruise liners and cargo ships passing by, to and from the Port of Southampton. Hythe is a pretty and interesting so a great place to take a walk around with selection of unique shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants such as Ebenezer’s, Seashells bar and restaurant, Bebe’s café and Amalfi’s. The Hythe Marina has a fishing village style to the development and hosts the restaurants and a seafront Promenade with its raised boardwalk.

Hythe surrounding area
Hythe is also the home of the world’s oldest pier train, trundling up and down Hythe’s famous Victorian pier to catch the ferry, which sails back and forth every half hour between Hythe and the city of Southampton. If you fancy a night out or dinner in Southampton the ferry drops you off in Ocean Village where you will find a further selection of bars and restaurants there and nearby in popular Oxford Street.

Within easy reach are the Waterside villages of Dibden Purlieu, Fawley, Marchwood and Eling, these are worth exploring and all have their own charm and useful and interesting amenities. The beach at Calshot is great for water sports. There is also a historic Tudor castle, Flying Boat Hangars on Calshot Spit and the Calshot Activity Centre. Just a mile down the road from Calshot is Lepe beach & Country Park, this is not only an outstandingly beautiful beach but it also has a fascinating history of the D-Day Preparations and an underground Cold War monitoring post. Both of these areas offer stunning views of the Isle of Wight from across the Solent.

For travel further afield, it is easy to connect to Southampton city centre in just 30 minutes* but you’re also spoilt for choice as the New Forest National Park is literally all around you, and offers up the most pretty villages, places to explore, wild horses and donkeys and is steeped in history. The Beaulieu motor museum is just 10 minutes’ drive, as it the small village of the witches known as Burley, where you can sit and enjoy the stories of dragons and witches, and you can visit the Coven of Witches gift shop and even have a cream tea in one of the quaint cafes.

We know you’d love to view our new homes, but due to COVID19 we are only able to arrange viewings for those people who have applied for a home (completed the application form) and have passed the eligibility assessment, so we know we can progress the sale. We can also only arrange a viewing if we have the keys for a property so until we have taken handover, the builder still owns the property and access to the homes is limited for health and safety reasons. Thank you for your patience.
