About the Development

Set in the charming village of Staplehurst, Woodlands Green offers an enviable Kent country lifestyle for you and your family to enjoy. Yet it is just over an hour from central London by direct train, with services every few minutes in the rush hour, giving you the very best of both worlds.

Woodlands Green offers exactly the same pleasing blend, with a range of homes from the award winning Heritage Collection, combining traditional architecture and craftsmanship, with modern interiors designed for the way you live today.

Amenities

There is a local convenience store located in the heart of Staplehurst for your day to day needs, with the larger supermarkets located in nearby Maidstone.

The village boasts a new £2m health centre which is home to a range of medical services. Call 0845 463 6086for appointments. Dental services can be found at Bower Dental Centre on the High Street, call 0845 463 6086, and Forge House dental practice, High Street, Call 0845 463 6086

Dining

The Asian flavours of Jameira Restaurant, in the village centre, are very popular, as is the restaurant at Staplehurst Nurseries. Weald of Kent in nearby Headcorn is famous for its Sunday carvery while Apicius in Cranbrook offers fine dining at its very best.

Education

Staplehurst Primary School lies at the heart of the village community, with a large number of pupils making it a vibrant learning environment. It was rated ‘good’ by Ofsted in its last report.

For senior education, New Line Learning Academy and The Weald Academy are both within easy reach by bus along the A229, with Valley Park School worth the extra few minutes ride for its ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating. Marlborough House and Bethany School offer an independent alternative.

Leisure

Staplehurst has a strong sense of community spirit, with a vast range of activities based around the village hall. The cricket and tennis club has over 450 members, half of which are under 18, while the local Staplehurst Monarchs United has a number of successful football teams. Staplehurst also boast an annual carnival every summer with a range of events and attractions to draw the crowds and bring the village together.

Golfers will enjoy the close proximity of Staplehurst Gofl Course, just a short walk from the development, while other sports facilities can be found at the nearby Weald Sports Centre in Cranbrook or Maidstone Leisure Centre. Maidstone is also home to a selection of cinemas and theatres for evening entertainment.

Shopping

Staplehurst has a small selection of shops along the High Street, with a local supermarket coming soon to the village.

For a more extensive shop, take the short trip to Maidstone for the Fremlin Walk shopping centre and The Mall at Maidstone. Tunbridge Wells offers out of town shopping at Tunbridge Wells Shopping Park on the Staplehurst side of the town, plus Royal Victoria Place in the town centre. Ashford Designer Outlet is also well worth the drive, offering significant discounts on a huge choice of leading labels.
