You can step back in time at Kilnworth House or Kelmarsh Hall, take a stroll along the twin staircases of locks at Foxton, or head north to Leicester to the National Space Centre.

Kilnworth House has an open air theatre in the summer months, Dingley Hall hosts regular classical concerts and Great Bowden also holds an annual music festival of classical music. Shopping

A market has been held in Market Harborough since 1204, and it is still a regular feature every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The town also offers a delightful range of independent and big name stores around the Square and along the High Street. Nearby Leicester provides a cosmopolitan mix of shops, with the Highcross and Haymarket shopping centres making it well worth the drive.

Closer to home, Weltons in Great Bowden retains the character of the local shop-cum-post office, and has a popular deli counter, while Bowden Stores is also a popular spot, combining coffee shop, patisserie and homewares.

Transport

Bowden Chase lies less than a mile from Market Harborough Station, where you can find direct trains to London in just 70minutes, with trains north to Leicester in just 15minutes. If you are heading further afield, both East Midlands Airport and Birmingham Airport are around an hour’s drive.

The A6 is within easy reach, with connections to the A14 and the M1. Leicester is 18miles, Kettering 13miles, Corby 10miles, Peterborough 32miles and Northampton 20miles.
