Coleman’s Fire Depository by Sutton Kersh in Liverpool

Colemans depository was established circa 1875, initially as cart owners and furniture removers, progressing to providing fireproof storage for furniture and pianos and also strong boxes for property deeds and jewellery. The building which still stands at the corner of Park Road and Northumberland Street was originally built circa 1900 and the four-storey construction was built of red brick and cast iron, allowing for maximum storage space at minimum cost. There was also a cellar and lift. The iconic building has since been converted sympathetically combining character and charm with modern city living apartments.
