Merlins Lane is a collection of new homes in the historic county town of Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire. Situated on the west bank of the River Cleddau, and within easy reach of the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast, Haverfordwest is a fantastic place to live.

The town's atmospheric old centre has a range of independent shops and cafés, and there are convenient retail parks on the outskirts too. The River Cleddau winds its way through the town and you can walk along its banks in the Bridge Meadow Park.

The town is on the A40 which is the main route to the far west of Wales, connecting with the A48 and then the M4 as you head east. A new home in Haverfordwest is a great starting point for exploring the lovely countryside of Pembrokeshire, the Preseli Hills and the Pembrokeshire Coastline – which is designated as a National Park.

There's an indoor market in the heart of the town, selling delicious local produce, as well as an excellent Farmers' Market which is held on alternate Fridays. The town has plenty of independent shops as well as a modern shopping area, and there are two large retail parks on the outskirts, with a large choice of high-street brands. To give yourself a break, there are several riverside cafes with lovely views of the Cleddau River.

Haverfordwest is well-placed to reach the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park as well as the Preseli mountains inland. There are some great places for days out with the family, including historic St David's, Pembroke with its towering castle, Lawrenny Quay on one of the inlets of the Cleddau estuary and the seaside town of Tenby with its wonderful sandy beach.

Haverfordwest is on the A40, the main route that joins the M4. From Haverfordwest it continues north to Fishguard. The A4076 takes you south to Milford Haven. For travel by train, Haverfordwest station is on the Milford Haven branch of the West Wales Line, with services to Swansea, Cardiff and Bristol. Bus services from the station connect with St David's, Fishguard and Cardigan, as well as a direct service to Aberystwyth.
