Foxglove Heights is an exciting new development, situated on the north-west outskirts of the historic city of Wells. This small city is home to approximately 12,000 people and its history dates back to Roman times. 

Small is beautiful when it comes to Wells which has a compact city centre, putting everything within easy walking distance. There are plenty of independent shops, cafés, and parks to enjoy. Wells is located on the southern side of the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The landscape here is made up of dramatic gorges and valleys, with impressive woodlands and wildlife, all just waiting to be explored. If you want to head further afield, Bristol Airport is 18 miles to the north, on the outskirts of Bristol.  

Wells is home to several supermarkets such as Waitrose, Tesco, and Morrisons, as well as independent shops and boutiques; perfect for a spot of retail therapy. There are a large number of cafés, bars, and restaurants and there's also a local market held twice weekly offering a fantastic range of local produce. For a wider variety of shops, Bristol is just one hour away with a great choice of high street brands as well as the popular Cribbs Causeway and Cabot Circus shopping centres.

There are many attractions within 25 miles, which include the famous caves at Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge & Caves, Glastonbury Abbey, Glastonbury Tor, Stourhead Gardens, Muchelney Abbey, and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. The beautiful variety of landscapes ranging from coastal scenery, the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels provides a wonderful playground for all sorts of activities including, caving, abseiling, horse riding, walking, cycling, and nature watching.

Wells is perfectly placed for getting around Somerset. It's located on the A39 which takes you south to the popular town of Glastonbury, and continues until it joins the M5 Motorway. In just 45 minutes, you'll reach the historic city of Bath with its many attractions and stunning architecture. Bristol airport is 40 minutes by car, with flights to a wide variety of European and global destinations. Wells offers good bus connections with services running to Bristol, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare and Glastonbury. A National Express bus service connects to London Victoria, and Heathrow Airport.
