Living and buying property in Sedgley

There are a few different bus companies supplying services in and around Sedgley and further afield to Dudley, Tettenhall Wood, Wolverhampton, Upper Gornal and Bilston.

London Midland trains run from nearby Coseley (just 2 miles away) to Liverpool Lime Street, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Birmingham New Street and Coventry.

Things to do

The Sedgley Beacon, Beacon Hill is one of the highest points in the West Midlands, well known for its fossils. There are also green places to walk around the area.

Within Sedgley is the Dormston Centre. Built with funding from The National Lottery and Sport England it boasts a large sports hall, outdoor pitch, synthetic pitch, hall, gym, drama studio & fitness classes as well as a 350-seat purpose built theatre, home to a number of amateur theatre groups. Ten minutes drive and you’re at Dudley’s Showcase Cinema, a modern multiscreen cinema complex.

Sedgley has many shops from local independent retailers to the main supermarkets and chains. Around the area are also lots of eateries from sandwich shops and takeaways to cafes and restaurants as well as a few wine bars and pubs.
