From the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms to the Michelin starred Yorke Arms in nearby Ramsgill, there really is something for everyone. Visit Cheltenham Parade and Parliament Street for a huge choice of eateries, or try something different at Norse Scandinavian or Konak Meze. Ten Devonshire Place and The Guy Fawkes Arms in Scotton top the list of must-try places to eat.

Education

Harrogate is a shopaholic’s paradise, with a substantial pedestrianised centre packed with famous names, as well as endless quirky independent shops and stores. Check out Westminster Arcade or Victoria Shopping Centre, or visit the famous Montpellier Quarter, where you’ll find over 80 shops, cafes and restaurants, including exclusive designer boutiques and antique shops. Hydro Retail Park, to the north of Harrogate, offers an out of town alternative.
The town hosts a farmers’ market on the second Thursday of every month along with a traditional Christmas market full of gifts and festive fayre. 

Transport

Devonshire Gardens lies just off the A59 Skipton Road, with the A1(M) just 9 miles away at Wetherby. Just minutes from the centre of Harrogate, you’ll also find countless other towns and cities within easy reach, including Leeds (17m), Bradford (20m) and York (21m). Leeds Bradford Airport is also easily reached, for business trips and holiday flights, at under 30 minutes away.
Harrogate Station has extensive parking facilities and offers direct services to Leeds in 34 minutes and York in 37 minutes. From York, London is just 2 hours away by direct train.
