to the west of the village the Midland main line runs on the edge of River Ise. The closest station is Kettering railway station opened in 1857, running to London, Sheffield, Corby and Derby.

the village is the home to one of the oldest churches in Kettering, known as the Norman Church of England parish church. This is a traditional site for the village and has remained there since 1120-1130 time.
