Located in the heart of England’s Thames Valley, Heritage Park is a new select development of five bedroom homes in the charming village of Sutton Courtenay in Oxfordshire.

The village name of Sutton Courtenay is derived from the word ‘Sutton’ meaning ‘south town’ (i.e. south of the town of Abingdon) and the name ‘Courtenay’ – the family who took on the local manor in about 1177. Indeed, the village is so steeped in history that Tony Robinson’s Time Team visited the area to investigate remains linking back to Saxon royalty.

It’s easy to see why Sutton Courtenay has been such a popular place to live for centuries as it’s a picturesque location on the banks of the River Thames. Today, living here means you’ll be immersed in beautiful surroundings and the friendly village atmosphere, whilst being conveniently close to the larger towns of Abingdon and Didcot.

You will be able to get everything you need for day-to-day living as there are a number of village shops and a Post Office in Sutton Courtenay. The nearby town of Didcot is host to the Orchard Shopping Centre, and for a wider range of shops in a historic environment, Oxford City Centre is less than 9 miles away and can be reached easily by train or bus. For serious shoppers, Bicester Village shopping centre is only 21 miles away.

Living in Sutton Courtenay means you’ll have stunning countryside to explore right on your doorstep and there’s also a good choice of sport in the village too with cricket, football and angling clubs. Nearby Abingdon and Didcot are home to a selection of leisure centres and swimming pools, and the golfers amongst you can enjoy the pristine greens at Drayton Park, Hadden Hill and Frilford Heath.

The town has good rail links with Appleford Station 1 mile away, Culham Station 2.3 miles away and Didcot Parkway 4.4 miles away; a direct train from Didcot Parkway can get you to London Paddington in just over 40 minutes. For road connections, the A34 is just 4 miles from the development, and the M40 and M4 are both less than 15 miles making it the ideal location for commuters.
For destinations further afield, Heathrow Airport is approximately an hour’s drive away.
