More information about Old Kiln Lakes...

Chinnor is a little village which over the years has embraced an impressive mix of architectural styles. Old Kiln Lakes brings its own sense of style to the former Cement Works site, offering a wide variety of modern homes to suit all needs in a very pretty setting.

The village has a small number of shops including a Spar convenience store, a baker, butcher, pharmacy, garden centre and several takeaways. Further local amenities include a library, social/sports hall, playing fields, children's play area, GP and dental practices and extremely well supported Community Centre. Several friendly pubs and restaurants can also be found close by.

Families with children will be pleased to know there are two primary schools in the village with secondary schools in Thame and Watlington.

The surrounding countryside begs to be explored on foot, bicycle or horseback and there are two excellent golf courses - Princes Risborough 2.5 miles away and Whiteleaf Golf Club at 4.6 miles. The Ridgeway long distance footpath crosses the site on an elevated causeway and recreational trips are offered on the private Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway that defines the north western boundary.

For more extensive shops and amenities, High Wycombe and Aylesbury are both approximately 8 miles away and it's just 13 miles into Oxford.
