Rhondda Cynon Taf is a county with three famous valleys in South West Wales. As its name indicates the Rhondda, Cynon and Taf valleys are the basic composition of the county that is home to around 250,000 people. It borders Cardiff to the south and Powys to the north. The county was also named with regard for the rivers which share the same names. Aberdare is perhaps the most populated town in the county, after it was formed in 1996. The region is a mining site for high quality Welsh Coal, and Rhondda alone has 60 mines. However, now the county is investing in other commercial options, for instance the Dragon International Film Studios. Although the county's industrial past damaged the environment, both rivers and land, it is fortunately on the road to recovery. The county is home to the famous Aberdare park, where motorsports and bike races are commonly held. Find your new home in Rhondda Cynon Taff today.
