Lichfield has a wide selection of cafes and restaurants to suit every taste and budget, with Eastern Eye, The Olive Tree, Lal Bagh and Thai Rainbow all highly recommended.


Fradley is home to St Stephen’s Primary, which rated ‘good’ on its last Ofsted inspection. The ‘good’ rated All Saints Primary in Alrewas is also within easy reach.

Older pupils will need to make the journey into Lichfield, where there is a choice of senior schools, all rated ‘good’, including King Edward VI, Nether Stowe School (a specialist mathematics and computing college) and The Friary School. There are regular busses running through Fradley to all the Lichfield schools.

The famous Lichfield Cathedral School can trace its heritage back to the 14th century, and still offers an excellent standard of independent education to this day.


Fradley is the junction of the Trent & Mersey and Coventry canals, and you can happily while away the afternoon watching the narrowboats negotiate the locks from Fradley Canalside Café. Fradley also has a brand new Village Hall, which is home to a wide range of activities and entertainment. For something different right on your doorstep, try a few laps of Fradley Karting, where you’ll find two tracks to choose from, or head for a more peaceful day out at the National Memorial Arboretum in nearby Alrewas.

Lichfield is home to the Friary Grange Leisure Centre, as well as Lichfield Golf and Country Club. For live entertainment, you’ll find a great range of shows at the Garrick Theatre, or you can step back in time with a visit to at Lichfield Cathedral, which dates back to 1200. For the latest movie releases, head along the A38 to the Red Carpet Cinema, or head to Tamworth for the multi-screen Odeon.


Lichfield offers a choice of shopping, with the Three Spires Shopping Centre in the retail heart of the town, and Lichfield Retail Park on the eastern edge of the city. To the south of Lichfield, you can shop amongst ancient barns for artisan foods, crafts and clothing at the Heart of the Country Shopping Village.

Just a short train ride away, Birmingham is a shopaholic’s paradise, with the famous Bull Ring at the centre of an extensive shopping experience featuring all your favourite brands and stores.


Fradley lies just off the A38 Lichfield to Burton upon Trent road, with Lichfield just 3miles and Burton 10miles. Tamworth is 10miles and Birmingham City Centre is around 20miles. The M6(toll) is just a short drive from the development, giving access to the extensive Midlands motorway network.

Lichfield Trent Valley station is just 3 miles from the development, and is a junction of the West Coast Mainline between Scotland and London, and the cross city line that runs through Birmingham. Commuter trains run into the city in just 40mins, with regular rush hour services, while direct trains to London take as little as 1hr 40mins.
