The Staffordshire county town of Stafford is centrally located in the West Midlands, north of Wolverhampton, north west of Birmingham and south of Stoke on Trent. Historically, Stafford has always been associated with shoe making. Nowadays, the range of industries has broadened considerably, with plenty of diverse jobs on offer. Nevertheless, many of Stafford’s residents choose to work in Birmingham or Stoke-on-Trent, which are both only a short commute away.
In addition to its numerous primary and secondary schools, Stafford has several higher education establishments, such as Stafford College, The Chetwynd Centre and South Staffordshire College. It’s also home to Staffordshire University.
