Suffolk is bordered by Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex in the North, West and East respectively. It is situated in East Anglia in the East of England and is a non-metropolitan county that shares a border with the North Sea. The principal town is Ipswich and other major towns in this county are Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds and Felixstowe. The topography of the county consists of low-lying plains with few hills and generally arable land. In the North the wetlands of The Broads are found and the Suffolk coast is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful places in England. West Suffolk is known for archaeology, with many fossils and artefacts from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages being regular finds. Crops grown in the county include winter wheat, barley, sugar beet, oilseed rape, spring beans and linseed along with a small variety of vegetables and oats. Find your new home in Suffolk today.
