About the Development

Just six miles south west of the thriving cultural city of Leeds, and close to excellent local schools and superb shopping, Morley has something for everyone, all within easy reach. And with Weavers' Chase, you get the added bonus of Morley Station just a few minutes walk from your door, with regular trains into the city centre taking just 12minutes.

Amenities

There is a Morrisons supermarket just a short distance from the development for all your grocery shopping needs, as well as Morley market, which is open six days a week.
For doctors, register with South Queen Street Medical Centre (Sat nav LS27 9EW, call 0845 463 3083) or Morley Health Centre (Sat nav LS27 9NB, call 0845 463 3083) – both around half a mile from the development. For dentists try Windsor Court Dental Centre, also about half a mile away (Sat nav LS27 9BG, call 0845 463 3083).

Dining

For a relatively small town, Morley has a good choice of restaurants and eateries, including many hidden gems. Trip advisor gives certificates of excellence to Kasa Rosa (It/Sp), Sambuca (It), Table 27 (Ind), Cucina (It/Int) and Baan Thai, with the pub grub at Needless Inn, The Picture House and Stump Cross all highly recommended.
The Upper Circle Food Court at the White Rose Centre is home to a number of famous family restaurant chains and is always a popular choice with the kids.

Education

High class education close at hand is always a priority when we select locations for our family homes, and Weavers' Chase is no exception. Residents can choose between two highly rated primary schools within easy walking distance, so you can leave the car at home for the school run. Both Seven Hills Primary and Morley Newlands Primary Academy are rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, as is the local faith based school, St Francis Catholic Primary.

Older pupils are even better served, with Morley Academy ranked as the best performing school in Leeds. The school received an ‘outstanding’ rating across the board in 2013, maintaining the excellent standards of their previous inspection in 2009.

Leisure

Once work is done, Morley has plenty to offer for your leisure time, from sports to cinemas. Morley Leisure Centre has recently undergone a £33m revamp to provide state of the art facilities, while golfers can take on Middleton Park or South Leeds golf courses to the east of the town. Morley also has its own rugby union team, which is a rarity in this rugby league stronghold. In nearby Leeds you can step up a gear, with county and international cricket plus top flight rugby league at Headingly, and Championship football at Leeds United.
For evening entertainment, head for the Showcase cinema at Birstall Shopping Park and the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, or discover the many attractions of Leeds, including the Northern Ballet, the Grand Theatre, the West Yorkshire Playhouse and the Opera North, plus the famous Leeds Festival in Roundhey Park and the major tours visiting the First Direct Arena.

Shopping

Morley is perfectly placed for two major shopping centres – the Birstall Shopping Park, just off the motorway, which is home to major names such as Ikea, plus the White Rose Centre, which has over 100 famous names in a smart modern shopping mall. There is also a Morrison supermarket and a 24hr Asda in the town.
Nearby Leeds is a veritable shoppers paradise, with something for every taste and budget, including the international designer fashion brands of the Victorian Quarter, the offbeat wonderland of the Grand Arcade, the magnificently quirky Corn Exchange, and the 1million sq ft retail cathedral that is Trinity Leeds.

Transport

One of the biggest selling points of Weavers' Chase is the proximity to Morley Station, just a few minutes walk away. Direct commuter trains into Leeds save all the hassle of city centre traffic and parking problems, with a journey time of just 12minutes and regular services.
Trains from Morley also connect to Manchester direct in an hour and a half, or just an hour via Dewsbury and Huddersfield. You can also reach Huddersfield direct in half an hour and London, via Leeds in just two and a half hours.
For drivers, the M62 and M1 are conveniently close, with the M621 offering swift passage into the heart of Leeds. Dewsbury is 5miles, Wakefield 7miles, Bradford 9miles Halifax 15miles and Huddersfield 18miles. Leeds Bradford Airport is just 15miles.
