Be the first to know about new developments, special offers and incentives in your chosen area
There are several advantages to buying a brand new home from deals and incentives to energy efficiency and security, all of which save you money. Here is a little more information:
You can move in straight away
When buying a new home there is no upward chain therefore you can move in as soon as your home is completed. With kitchens and bathrooms already fitted (in some cases chosen by you) there is no immediate work required which means you have a blank canvas to begin adding your personal decorative touches. Some developers even allow you to choose your own colours and styles so no decoration is required at all when moving in.
With low cost energy bills and no need to redecorate or repair, you can save large sums of money when buying new.
Special offers and deals
Most homebuilders offer incentives to help you move. These include Part Exchange, Deposit Paid and Shared Equity deals. The government are also backing schemes to help you move such as FirstBuy and NewBuy, a 95% mortgage scheme. NewBuy is ideal for those with small deposits.
Energy efficiency and security
New build homes are built under strict regulations ensuring they are more eco friendly than ever before, saving you money on future energy bills. They also adhere to strict regulations for electrical insulation and fire safety. Modern doors and windows are fitted along with alarms for added security.
10 year warranty
New build homes carry a 10 year warranty from the National House Building Council (NHBC).

Helping you move
Buying a new home has now been made even easier thanks to the new Help to Buy scheme launched in April 2013. The scheme enables you to purchase a new build home with just a 5% deposit. Unlike previous government backed schemes, Help to Buy is available to both first time buyers and existing homeowners.
So how does it work?
The scheme is available on new build homes upto the value of £600,000. You will require a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% of the property value will then be funded by a Help to Buy equity loan. The loan is interest free for the first five years and is not repayable until you sell the home.
Since it's launch in April, Help to Buy has aided thousands of people in their pursuit to buy a brand new home.
