As you would expect from a town with so many visitors, Harrogate has an excellent selection of restaurants, with something for every taste and budget, with no less than 342 establishments rated on Trip Advisor, including dozens that have gained their coveted certificate of excellence.
From the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms to the Michelin starred Yorke Arms in nearby Ramsgill, there really is something for everyone. Visit Cheltenham Parade and Parliament Street for a huge choice of eateries, or try something different at Norse Scandinavian or Konak Meze. Ten Devonshire Place and The Guy Fawkes Arms in Scotton top the list of must-try places to eat.


When it comes to education, you naturally want the best for your children, and Devonshire Gardens provides exactly that. The development is conveniently close to Harrogate High School, a specialist sports college for both boys and girls rated ‘good with outstanding leadership’ by OFSTED.
The town is also home to a number of excellent independent schools, including the co-ed Harrogate Grammar, Harrogate Ladies College and Ashville College, which caters for ages 4-18. Brackenfield also offers independent education for ages 2-11.

Harrogate is a popular tourist destination, so there is always something to do in and around the town. A visit to the famous Harrogate spas, such as the Turkish Baths, is a relaxing and rejuvenating experience that everyone should try at least once.
For evening entertainment, there is a choice of theatres and cinemas in town, including Harrogate Theatre, the spectacular Royal Hall and an Odeon multi-screen cinema.
Harrogate is surrounded by challenging golf courses, with Harrogate, Crimple Valley, Rudding Park and Oakdale all within a short drive, with a wide selection of leisure centres and gyms available, including Harrogate Squash and Fitness Centre close to the development. Nearby Leeds offers top class football, rugby league and both county and international cricket.
Further afield, you can step back in time at nearby Fountains Abbey, take a stroll in the beautiful RHS Harlow Gardens, or enjoy the thrill rides of Lightwater Valley. Discover the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park just a short drive away and enjoy endless walks as well as mountain biking, climbing and many other outdoor pursuits.


Harrogate is a shopaholic’s paradise, with a substantial pedestrianised centre packed with famous names, as well as endless quirky independent shops and stores. Check out Westminster Arcade or Victoria Shopping Centre, or visit the famous Montpellier Quarter, where you’ll find over 80 shops, cafes and restaurants, including exclusive designer boutiques and antique shops. Hydro Retail Park, to the north of Harrogate, offers an out of town alternative.
The town hosts a farmers’ market on the second Thursday of every month along with a traditional Christmas market full of gifts and festive fayre. 


Devonshire Gardens lies just off the A59 Skipton Road, with the A1(M) just 9 miles away at Wetherby. Just minutes from the centre of Harrogate, you’ll also find countless other towns and cities within easy reach, including Leeds (17m), Bradford (20m) and York (21m). Leeds Bradford Airport is also easily reached, for business trips and holiday flights, at under 30 minutes away.
Harrogate Station has extensive parking facilities and offers direct services to Leeds in 34 minutes and York in 37 minutes. From York, London is just 2 hours away by direct train.
