Holmes Meadow at Selby is an exciting development of brand new homes. Close to shops, libraries, parks and a good selection of schools, Holmes Meadow is only 15 miles from York and close to Leeds, Doncaster and Barnsley.



Selby town centre is within a mile of Holmes Meadow, or just a few minutes by car or bus. There you will find a whole range of shops from famous name High Street stores, to independent retailers and there are several leading supermarkets. The Three Lakes Retail Park on the outskirts of the town offers a great selection of retail outlets plus restaurants and a sports, health and fitness centre. Selby is also well-known for its popular weekly market that draws visitors from across Yorkshire. For further choice the historic County City of York is approximately fourteen miles north and offers everything from boutiques, antiques, jewellery and vintage accessories to top department stores and the York Designer Outlet with more than one hundred and twenty top brands at discounted prices.

Life at Holmes Meadow gives you a great choice of leisure, sport, culture or countryside to either take part in or simply enjoy. The town has its own martial arts, football, rugby, golf and tennis clubs, plus ten pin bowling and leisure centre. The Selby Canal and the River Ouse both run through the town providing many scenic walks, Selby Park is ideal for a relaxing afternoon and 'the hidden gem of Yorkshire' the Selby Abbey with its nine hundred year history, is one of England's finest Abbey churches. Selby Town Hall Arts Centre, formerly a Methodist Chapel, now hosts a variety of music, drama, dance and cabaret events and Selby's Globe Community Theatre provides the latest in film entertainment, while the town has many pubs and restaurants for an evening out.

Holmes Meadow provides easy access to the A19, a major trunk road linking Selby to the City of York to the north and Doncaster to the south. It also gives direct access to the M62 with junction 34 about eight miles away. To the south of Selby the A63 provides a convenient route to junction 42 of the A1 M motorway, which is approximately ten miles away. Selby train station is just a few minutes drive and provides services to major UK cities including Hull, London, York and Manchester. For air travel Robin Hood Airport at Doncaster, is less than a thirty mile drive.
