Try the wide variety of tastes on offer at top ranked Curipza, the Asian flavours of Rongear Tandoori, or the Chinese dishes of Jades. Check out the Lemon Tree, Baan Thitiya Thai, Host at the Corn Exchange or Shadhona on South Street near the development. Education

Education may not be your number one priority right now, but its good to know that Bishop’s Stortford has a great choice when the time does come. Both St Joseph’s Catholic Primary and St Michaels CofE Primary in the town are rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED, with Windhill Primary and Thorley Hill Primary both rated ‘Good’.

For older pupils, the town offers two single sex senior schools: the ‘Outstanding’ Hertfordshire and Essex High School for girls and Bishop’s Stortford High School for boys (‘Good with outstanding behaviour’), both of which have mixed sixth forms, as well as St Mary’s Catholic High School. The independent Bishop’s Stortford College is also located in the town offering high quality private education for day and boarding pupils.

Leisure

There’s a huge choice of entertainment within walking distance of your apartment at Regents Court. This includes the Rhodes Arts Complex just along South Road, which has a theatre, cinema and restaurant, and the Anchor Street Entertainment Centre in the town, which has a cinema, ten pin bowling and a choice of fast food restaurants.

For the more active, Grange Paddocks has a pool and gym, and there are further facilities at the Nuffield Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Centre on Anchor Street. Bishop’s Stortford Golf Course is set just to the east of the town and Great Hadham and Ash Valley Golf courses are also just a short drive away.

Shopping

South Street, where Regents Court is located, is one of the major shopping streets of Bishop’s Stortford, with the recently refurbished Jackson Square Shopping Centre just a few minutes walk away. Here you’ll find all the major high street names, such as House of Fraser and M&S, alongside a number of fascinating independent stores.

Other shopping areas include Potter Street, North Street and Hockerill Street. There has been a market in the town for over 200 years and the tradition continues to this day, with markets every Thursday and Saturday, including a Farmers market to the rear of the Half Moon every Thursday.

Transport

Regent’s Court lies just a short walk from Bishop’s Stortford station, which has regular trains to London Liverpool Street in under 40minutes and trains to Cambridge in just half an hour. The town is also just a couple of miles from junction 8 of the M11, linking to London and Cambridge.

Hertford is 16miles, Braintree and Chelmsford are19miles, Stevenage is 24miles, Cambridge 30miles and London around 35miles. Stanstead Airport is just 5miles to the east, offering a wide range of flights including budget airlines.
