Immerse yourself in beautiful surroundings

The Meadows is a new collection of homes to the village of Llanfoist near Abergavenny.

Our collection of new homes at The Meadows offers a choice of two, three and four bedroom homes in the stunning rural location of Llanfoist - a charming village just south-west of the market town of Abergavenny in Monmouthshire. Part of the Brecon Beacons National Park, it’s no surprise it’s a sought-after place to live.

Llanfoist, lies between the River Usk and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal so it’s in the perfect position to enjoy the area’s beautiful scenery and miles of peaceful riverside and tow path walks. There are also boats and canoes for hire locally if you’d prefer to take to the water to enjoy the views. Other attractions in Llanfoist include the Usk Valley Walk that passes through the village and for more challenging walks, the hills of the Brecon Beacons to the west or the Black Mountains to the east are easily accessible.

Nestled between seven hills, nearby Abergavenny is truly a ‘Gateway to Wales’ and is a bustling, vibrant town. Although there is no major industry here now, the stunning surroundings, busy markets, annual festivals and the tourists they attract support the local economy. There’s also well-respected schools nearby with Llanfoist Fawr Primary School and Sunshines Pre School a short walk away from our developemnt and King Henry VIII School close by in Abergavenny.

There is a choice of local golf courses just a few miles from Abergavenny. The Monmouthshire Golf Club is set against the beautiful scenery of the Usk Valley while the Wernddu is in one of the most picturesque positions and also has a floodlit driving range.

The nearby River Usk is widely renowned as one of the best salmon rivers in Wales, but if fishing is a little too sedentary, you could explore the outdoors by a different means. A short stroll will take you into the countryside, while longer walks could lead you to the top of one of several mountains. The Blorenge and The Sugarloaf provide spectacular views while The Skirrid has a steep initial climb, which then breaks out onto a long ridgeway ending by an old ruined chapel at the highest point.

If two legs aren’t enough, you could always take in one of the many horse riding centres in the area. Whether a gentle trot or a full blown gallop, what better way to see the beauty of the surrounding countryside? Or if you’re feeling really brave, you could launch yourself off Blorenge Mountain or nearby Hatterall Ridge – two of the best hang gliding and paragliding sites in Britain.
