Spanning more than 1,000 acres, Coed Darcy (translated as Darcy's Woodland) is one of the most significant regeneration projects currently underway in Wales.

What's coming to Coed Darcy?

Set to become a sustainable community of 4,000 traditionally-styled Welsh homes, Coed Darcy will provide more than 10,000 residents with exciting new living opportunities, including retail, leisure, sports and community facilities and acres of green open space.

Coed Darcy, which already has a well established business community of more than 100 tenants, will also provide 500,000 sq ft of new commercial space. This will help create more than 4,000 new job opportunities locally. The overall scheme will have an economic impact of over £1 billion.

The £1.2 billion planned community development will comprise homes, community facilities, employment space and open space covering 1,300 acres. Four new schools (1 Welsh primary, 2 English primaries and 1 secondary) are also planned.

Neath's abundance of fine retail outlets and market is the perfect place to sample the sumptuous traditional goods and local produce such as laverbread, welshcakes or a famous warm lamb baguette. Whilst shopaholics will love nearby Swansea, with a variety of over 230 stores, from popular high street brands to wonderful independent boutiques.
