Dining

Little Sutton boasts a number of top class eateries, and all within walking distance of the development so you can enjoy a glass of wine with your meal. Try Little Tai Ping, the Taj Mahal or Holdi Spice Lounge, or the gastro pub experience at the Olde Red Lion, the Cheshire Yeoman, Brewers Fayre at Burleydam or the highly rated Chimneys.

For a special treat, visit the Michelin starred Grosvenor Hotel in the centre of Chester, or one of the many other excellent restaurants that the city has to offer. Alternatively, you’ll find a host of family favourites just along the A41 at Bromborough Retail Park, including Frankie & Benny’s and Pizza Hut.

Education

At Redrow we know that a great family home is only worthwhile if you can find good quality education close by, and in Little Sutton you won’t be disappointed, whatever the age of your children. Younger pupils can choose between Little Sutton CofE Primary or Sutton Green Primary, both rated Good by Ofsted and both within easy reach of the development. For older children, there are many local options, including the Whitby High School (Good) Ellesmere Port Catholic High (Good) and University CofE Academy.

Leisure

The local area around Ledsham is excellent for a quiet country walk, with nearby Eastham Woods a popular afternoon out amongst the bluebells. For a more challenging hike, Moel Famau or even Snowdon are both just a short drive away in North Wales. For more lively entertainment, you’ll find an iMax multiscreen cinema at Cheshire Oaks, along with the fascinating Blue Planet aquarium.

For sports, try the Epic Leisure Centre in Ellesmere Port, Northgate Arena in Chester or Deeside Leisure Centre, which even has its own ice rink. There is also a great gym at nearby Woodhey House Hotel. Golfers can choose from a number of courses nearby, including Eastham Lodge, Bromborough and Ellesmere Port golf courses.

Shopping

There are a number of local shops stretched out along the A41 through Little Sutton and Great Sutton. For a more comprehensive shopping trip, visit Cheshire Oaks, where you’ll find a large outlet village offering designer bargains, along with a number of leading stores such as Marks & Spencer.

Chester provides a distinctly different shopping experience, with the quirky independent stores and designer labels of the famous Rows, while Liverpool is at the other end of the scale with the brand new Liverpool One development offering state of the art shopping anchored by John Lewis and Debenhams.

Transport

The transport links at Oaklands are one of its biggest selling points, including the M53 and A550 Welsh Road both close by, speeding you across the area. Liverpool is just 11miles via the M53 and Wallasey Tunnel, while Birkenhead and Chester are even closer at just 8miles.

Trains from Little Sutton Station connect direct to Liverpool, with connections to London from Lime Street in around two hours. Chester trains can be reached either directly at Hooton or via Little Sutton.

Both Liverpool and Manchester Airports are within easy reach at around 40minutes drive.
