  • Within a close proximity to Abingdon and Didcot

The village name of Sutton Courtenay is derived from the word ‘Sutton', meaning ‘south town' (i.e. south of the town of Abingdon), and the name ‘Courtenay' – the family who took on the local manor in about 1177. The village is so steeped in history that Tony Robinson's Time Team visited the area to investigate remains linking back to Saxon royalty.

It's easy to see why Sutton Courtenay has been such a popular place to live for centuries as it's a picturesque location on the banks of the River Thames. Today, living here means you'll be immersed in beautiful surroundings and the friendly village atmosphere, whilst being conveniently close to the larger towns of Abingdon and Didcot.

Living at Heritage Park means you'll have easy access to everything you need for day-to-day living as there are a number of shops and a Post Office in the village. The nearby town of Didcot is home to the Orchard Shopping Centre and, for a wider range of shops and historical architecture, Oxford city centre is less than 9 miles away, easily reachable by train or bus. For serious shoppers, Bicester Village shopping centre is only 21 miles away.

There's a good selection of leisure pastimes…

Living in Sutton Courtenay means you'll have stunning countryside to explore right on your doorstep and there's also a good choice of sport in the village too with cricket, football and angling clubs. Nearby Abingdon and Didcot boast a selection of leisure centres and swimming pools, and the golfers amongst you can enjoy the pristine greens at Drayton Park, Hadden Hill and Frilford Heath golf clubs.

At Heritage Park you will find a wealth of amenities, schools and transport links all set amongst the stunning backdrop of some of the UK's finest riverside scenery. Whether you're looking for your first home or more space for a growing family, you're bound to find what you're after.
