Nestled just to the south west of Bridgwater, Saxon Fields is located approximately 40 miles south west of Bristol and 45 miles north east of Exeter. Its close proximity to the M5 motorway means that Saxon Fields boasts fantastic commuter links, yet enjoys a peaceful semi-rural setting.

Families will be pleased to know that Saxon Fields is located close to a great choice of schools, ranging from Somerset Bridge Primary School to Bridgewater College.

Bridgwater is a lively town with a rich history and colourful past and has plenty to offer, including independent shops and high street stores; a state-of-the-art theatre, a good range of pubs and restaurants; an arts centre; two museums; a swimming pool and a cinema. You'll also be just a short trip away from Taunton, the county town of Somerset, which has a large range of retail stores and amenities.

Every November, Bridgwater is brilliantly brought to life through the tradition of its extraordinary annual carnival procession. Hailed as the largest illuminated procession in Europe, the event lights up the town with music and colour and symbolises the spirit of the town.

Bridgwater has many independent shops as well as major high street stores and for convenience, there is a Co-op less than one mile from Saxon Fields. For a bigger shop, there is a Morrisons just 2.7 miles away.

Bridgwater is surrounded by stunning scenery, with the West Country, Quantock Hills and the Somerset Levels within easy reach. The Bridgwater and Taunton Canal, although now cut off from the rest of the canal system, boasts a well-maintained towpath and is a beautiful setting for a peaceful walk, or a spot of boating. You'll also be close to Somerset's stunning beaches and the Bridgwater Bay National Nature Reserve – perfect for family days out.

Saxon Fields is just over a mile away from Unique Fitness and a little over 3 miles from Bridgwater Arts Centre.

As would be expected in a town with so much history there are plenty of places to visit including the unusually shaped St Mary's Church; the Blake Museum; Bridgwater Arts Centre, Somerset Brick and Tile Museum; the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal and the Docks.

With its fiercely independent character, it is also no surprise to find the town has a number of individual shops and cafes in which to while away the time.

Road and rail links to Bridgwater are excellent. The M5 motorway is close to the town and Bridgwater train station provides regular trains to Bristol, Exeter and London Paddington, with further services to Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Penzance.

For travel further afield, Bristol and Exeter airports are also nearby providing a wide choice of national and international destinations.
