Just six miles to the north west of Swansea, Gorseinon is a rapidly expanding town. It has a proud historical background centred predominantly on the industries of coal, steel and tinplate production. Until the 19th century Gorseinon was a small village but soon started to grow around the coal mining industry. The excellent access to the M4 motorway has played a large part in the development of the town. As coal and steel industries have declined, the town has diversified and new commercial areas such as Garngoch Industrial Estate are now major employers in the area.

Transport links are excellent as Llys Meredith is only a short distance from the M4 Junction 47 and the A4240 and A484; providing excellent road links to Swansea and Cardiff, the airport at Cardiff is just over an hour’s drive away. Gowerton train station is within easy reach with links to Swansea and West Wales. Regular bus services run in and around the town.
