Buying a new home in Cowbridge

The history of the town dates back to the Roman times, where the town falls alongside a roman road. Cowbridge was one of few remaining medieval towns in Wales, with a selection of Walls and the South Gate still standing.

Cowbridge has a large Comprehensive School of around 1300 pupils and known as one of the best performing secondary schools in Wales, this school also has a sixth form centre. It was recently redeveloped in 2010 to make the school on one site. There is also a primary school in Cowbridge including a nursey.

The A48 runs alongside Cowbridge going straight to Port Talbot, with the A4222 running through the centre of the town linking back onto the A48. The closest train station is in Llantwit Major which is 5.4 miles away about a 13-minute drive.
