As Ottery St Mary is close to some fantastic wood and parkland, including the wonderfully named Core Copse and Big Wood, you will never be short of an appropriate place to walk the dogs or tire out your children in the great outdoors.


Fans of eateries are well served in Ottery St Mary's, as there are some fantastic establishments located in the town. The London Inn offers light meals and snacks alongside traditional pub fare. The homemade Sunday roasts are also a favourite. 

The Lamb and Flag Inn offers a modern twist on pub food, and also has rooms for rent should any relatives come to visit and need a place to stay. Slightly further afield, Exeter has a range of restaurants from fine dining to fast food to suit all tastes and pockets.


Whenever you move house it is often a top priority to make sure that there are decent schools in the area for your children to move into. Ottery St Mary has a great selection of schools, including West Hill Primary School which received an Outstanding rating when it was last visited by schools' watchdog Ofsted. The other primary school in the area, Ottery St Mary Primary School was graded Good in 2012. If your children are of secondary age, The King's School which is located on the outskirts of the town is a former grammar school, and was also recently judged to be an Outstanding school.


If you're looking for something to do near our development of homes in Ottery St Mary, there is a wide choice available from the renowned golf course at Honiton around seven miles away, to the cinema, The Radway, in Sidmouth there are many things to do.

Ottery St Mary's nearest railway station is located in Feniton, just over two miles away. The station is on the Salisbury to Exeter line, putting Exeter a mere 20 minute train ride away, and Salisbury around a half hour journey. For those wishing to fly, the local airport is Exeter Airport, which offers flights to a range of domestic and international airports, both long and short haul.
