About the Development

There is a Co-op food store conveniently located in Priorslee for your day to day requirements, with all the major supermarkets represented in the town centre, including Sainsburys at Telford Forge Retail Park and Asda at Telford Shopping Centre.

The nearest doctors can be found at either Shifnal and Priorslee Medical Practice (Sat Nav TF2 9GZ, call us) or Priorslee Surgery (Sat Nav TF2 9SW, call us), with a choice of dentists available in Telford, including MyDentist (Sat Nav TF3 3DE, callus)

Dining

The new Southwater complex includes a host of family favourites, including Bella Italia, Harvester, Nandos, Hungry Horse, Pizza Express and Zizzi, making it a great place to visit for a special celebration or just a weekly treat. Closer to home you’ll find a warm welcome at The Lion Inn, The Flaming Grill, Bar George and the Bell and Balls.

Head into town and you can choose from a huge variety of eateries, including the Eastern Balti, Blue Elephant or Taj Mahal Indian restaurants and the Lotus, Ho Mei Village or the Tin Tin Chinese cuisine.

Clays of Broseley, Restaurant 1840, Chez Maw and Spiceland are also highly recommended amongst the 242 Telford restaurants listed on TripAdvisor.

Education

When it comes to education, Telford sets the bar incredibly high, with one of the best state secondary schools in the country. Described by Ofsted as ‘a remarkable school’ that is a ‘beacon of excellence’, you’ll have to go a long way, or pay a considerable sum, to find a better school for your kids. For younger children, Red Hill Primary is less than a mile away, and is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, while Priorslee Primary Academy is just over a mile and is rated also rated ‘good’. If you want to put church at the heart of schooling, Holy Trinity Academy offers a ‘good’ rated alternative secondary school in the town.

Telford College of Arts and Technology provides further education, while the University of Wolverhampton also has a campus in the town.

Leisure

You will never be short of something to do in Telford, because the town has so much to offer, day and night. The new Southwater development in the centre of town includes an iMax cinema, a bowling alley and an ice rink, and links to the fun of Telford Town Park where you’ll discover Wonderland, full of your kids’ favourite characters.

There’s more characters to be found just round the corner from Abbey Walk, at the Exotic Zoo, with more furry friends on show at Hoo Farm just a short drive away.

Head a little further afield and you can explore more than ten magnificent museums in and around Ironbridge, including the charming Blists Hill Victorian village.

For sports, Oakengates Leisure Centre is just a short drive away, and there is a choice of quality golf courses around the edge of town.

Shopping

Telford shopping has always been good, and with the addition of the Southwater development, it is now even better. Telford Shopping Centre has all the biggest names, including Marks and Spencer and House of Fraser, while the nearby Telfrord Forge Retail Park hosts the likes of Next and TK Max along with a range of furniture and electrical stores, all with plenty of parking right outside.

For a special shopping trip, Wolverhampton’s Wulfrun Shopping centre, or the endless retail therapy of Birmingham’s famous Bull Ring are both within easy reach.

Transport

The development lies midway between the A5 Watling Street and junction 4 of the M54, both just a few minutes drive away and both offering rapid access to the M6 and the West Midlands beyond. Telford town centre is just 2miles, with Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury 17miles and Stafford 20miles.

Commuters can choose from regular services at Telford Central, linking to Birmingham New Street in the heart of the city in just 37minutes, with Wolverhampton just 17minutes away and Shrewsbury around 20minutes.

The nearest airport is Birmingham International, which can be reached in around 40miles, with motorway door to door giving you a hassle free start to your holiday.
