New homes UK > South Lanarkshire

One of the unitary council areas of Scotland, South Lanarkshire, as its name indicates covers the southern part of the old county of Lanarkshire. In the south east it shares a border with the City of Glasgow, and encapsulates some areas of the city, suburbs, villages and commuter towns. Hamilton is the county center, and many other market towns like Lanark and Strathaven are situated in the county as well. The county has a beautiful and captivating countryside, and is fairly categorised as a rural county. Steeped in history, South Lanarkshire houses some of the most interesting landmarks and museums. The likes of Hamilton Mausoleum (famous for the longest man made echo), the medieval Bothwell Castle and Low parks museum are only some of the attractions found in the region. The falls of the River Clyde and its lush green surroundings form much of the landscape of Lanarkshire. Along with adequate primary and secondary schooling, South Lanarkshire college and the University of West Scotland cater to the residents of the county. Find your new home in South Lanarkshire today.
