Bodicote is a quaint village with honey-coloured Hornton stone houses and cottages that line the High Street and East Street, enjoyable to walk through and see the Church of St John the Baptist dated from at least the 13th Century. There is Bodicote House a large Georgian house with Victorian additions which houses the Cherwell District Council.
The village has two pubs, The Plough and The Horse and Jockey, here you can enjoy a meal and beverage of your choice or for something a bit more spicy there’s The Spice Room, Bodicote’s Indian restaurant. The Cotefield Nurseries has a coffee shop for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and cake!
The village has it’s own spar shop offering post office facilities and hairdressing. There is also the Flyover Farmshop, as well as offering locally grown produce, jams, fresh cakes etc, they also hold a car boot sale every fortnight during the summer months.
For a fabulous shopping experience Banbury is only minutes away and there you’ll find both the Gateway Shopping Park and the Castle Quay Shopping Centre. These centres provide you with individual shops as well as the high street and designer brand names.
Each year the local volunteers organise Bodfest. This local village festival includes live bands, barn dance, plastic duck race, pig roast, street market and food court.
