Buying a new home in Cullompton

The streets of Cullompton still reflect the medieval layout with most of their shops along Fore Street. The centre of the town is home to seven Grade II listed buildings, with ninety Grade II listed buildings in the parish in total. The town has a population that includes a lot of commuters but there are also flour and paper mills locally so some of the residents still work there. The town also has a farmers market, which is held on the second Saturday of every month, and is the oldest of its kind in the South West region. The town has a long history of manufacturing, starting off with wool and cloth and, in more recent times, moving onto the leather and lighting industries.
