Croydon has one of the largest shopping districts with the developed night time economy. The population currently falls at around 52,104 residents.

During the middle ages Croydon became a market town and a centre for charcoal production, leather tanning and brewing.

Croydon has a large railway station with fast trains to a selection of locations throughout London. it runs north and south of the Brighton main line. Following this it runs to Sussex, Southampton, Portsmouth, Kent, Gatwick airport and many more. The bus links come from London many of which operate around Croydon.

Croydon falls on the corridor between central London and South coast of England, to the north of two gaps in the North Downs. This is followed by the A23 Brighton road through Purley.

Since 1962 Croydon was a growing town with constantly introducing new buildings, shopping centres. In 2012 Croydon received £1.2m funding to improve its central shopping areas and become one of the 12 “Portas Pilot” towns.

There are lots of things to visit where you can experience some traditional sites and amusements of the town of Croydon. Starting with the museums, theatres or shopping centres through to bars, clubs, leisure centres or even outdoor activities.

Croydon has lots of historical sites to visit with the option to go on tours around the town where you can be guided through the past and educated on the typical traditions of the town.

With such good travel links to the centre of London you can quickly travelling here and see a variety of stunning buildings such as Westminster Abbey or Buckingham palace. To complement this, you have the amazing shopping facilities on Oxford street with huge high street stores.
